Explore more of Alaska - Choose a Cruisetour

With a Cruisetour you can experience all that the Great Land has to offer with one of many land tour and cruise combination itineraries. These specially designed vacations offer Alaska’s favorite destinations and off the beaten path treasures.

We know you have come to Alaska to experience the Wilderness. That is why every Holland America cruisetour takes you to Denali National Park. It’s all here: herds of caribou, mammoth grizzlies, and, of course, “the Great One”, Mt. McKinley.

Last port of call – Ketchikan

Ketchikan is a city in the southwestern part of Alaska and most sizable city in that state. With an estimated population of 14 000, it is the fifth most populous city in the state.
Ketchikan's economy is based upon tourism and fishing, and the city is known as the "Salmon Capital of the World."

It seems to be the favourite town for many of us, very colourful. Whether you kayak through the fjords, do the zip line in the rain forest or fly the hydroplane you are certain to appreciate this charming area.

Glacier Bay - Majestic!

Two hundred years ago, Glacier Bay was visited by Captain George Vancouver who observed it to be a large open bay, blocked at its northern end by a giant wall of ice. Since then, the ice in Glacier Bay has slowly receded, uncovering a new waterway 65 miles long.

By the end of the day, as we all were in a meeting space learning all about excursions, we look out to see at least 30 seals swimming together and whales… jumping right out of the water!!! Talking about spectacular; this was priceless. No time for pictures though, so you will have to take our word for it.

Gold Rush in Skagway

Born in the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898, the White Pass & Yukon Route is a rare story in the history of Railroad building. This excursion is a must! Choose between the 4 hours or 8 hours ride, either way you will be mesmerized.

Downtown Skagway!

Welcome to Juneau

In the late 19th century, a Tlingit Chief named Kowee let two prospectors to a creek that emptied into the Gastineau Channel. After a few hours of panning, the prospectors, Richard Harris and Joe Juneau found gold! That discovery changed not only their lives, but the course of history and the face of Alaska itself.

Simply Spectacular!

We have sailed for quite a few miles now; Sunday was a full day at sea. Today, Monday, we are sailing toward Juneau, capital of Alaska. Here is the view we can all admire as we navigating along…

Some of us saw a bear, some saw whales! But even if you are not that lucky, wherever you look it remains picturesque.
